Higher pressure is needed for cold forging compared to forging at high temperature. However, the precision of cold forging is magnificent. In various aspects such as strength, cost, precision, it has an advantage over usual cutting. Cold forging, an indispensable technique for manufacturing products in the precision of +-10 micron, is a key technology constituting Meiwa Inc. y1st dayzDesign Registered parts have only to be arranged on the standardized template for a stamping die. After all parts are arranged on CAD, the blueprints, the machining-data and the wire-cut EDM data are supplied automatically. Design data is automatically translated into manufacturing data. |

y2nd dayzFMS The machining data is received and transferred from CAD/CAM, FMS starts to cut without any operator. It consists of 2 horizontal machining centers, an automatic guided vehicle with 16 pallets, and a system manager controlling all the processes. |
