Cold Forging, which makes precise "plastic deformation" possible.

SUS304, which is difficult to be deformed plastically, can also be clod-forged with precision.(«see the following examples)

Why don't you try cold forging instead of cutting? Precision, strength, durability, etc, you shall be satisfied with the perfection in various aspects. We can supply all sorts of products with plastic technology, making the most use of all know-how we have.

œCold Forging

"Forging" is a plastic deformation to shape without any chips using pressing machines or hammers; especially, to forge in a normal temperature is called "Cold Forging". Higher pressure is needed for cold forging compared to forging at high temperature. However, the precision of cold forging is magnificent. In various aspects such as strength, cost, precision, it has an advantage over usual cutting. Cold forging, an indispensable technique for manufacturing products in the precision of +-10 micron, is a key technology constituting Meiwa Inc. No parts-supplier can survive without this technology in the future.

@

Only 3 days to make a stamping die.

y1st dayzœDesign

Registered parts have only to be arranged on the standardized template for a stamping die. After all parts are arranged on CAD, the blueprints, the machining-data and the wire-cut EDM data are supplied automatically. Design data is automatically translated into manufacturing data.

y2nd dayzœFMS

The machining data is received and transferred from CAD/CAM, FMS starts to cut without any operator. It consists of 2 horizontal machining centers, an automatic guided vehicle with 16 pallets, and a system manager controlling all the processes.

Assembly/Testing/Adjustment
Sample(note:it takes a couple weeks to make this set of dies.)

The parts, manufactured by Electric Discharge Machine and Wire-cut EDM only for 2 days, is now in the assembly process. Using high-performance measuring machines, which can determine errors in the precision of 1 micron, we continue to improve our products. The combination of our original system of measuring and the newest hardware enables us to supply accurate products at an unprecedented speed.

yOur Policyz
Japanese companies cannot continue manufacturing in Japan if they participate in mere price competition with other competitors. Our policy, in contrast, is to add extra value to our final products.
